The
Wellness Community was honored to be the Charity Sponsor of this
professional cycling race in it's inaugural year. George
Hincapie, professional cyclist and former teammate of Lance
Armstrong, was the spokesperson for The National Educational
Initiative, "Break Away From Cancer".
The final leg of the race ended in Redondo Beach, California,
where TWC supporters gathered to cheer on the cyclists. Harriet
Benjamin received a check during
the closing ceremony from AMGEN
for $1.1 million to support the Southern California TWC's.
